Tuesday 31st May 

Fantasy Journeys

Enjoy art and craft activities on the theme on fantasy journeys.  A Creation Station workshop suitable for children aged 2-11.  All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Cost: £3 per child / £1.75 with Leisure Card. Sessions last one hour: 11am - 12noon, 12.30 - 1.30pm & 1.45 - 2.45pm. Places limited.  Book on the day at Portsmouth Museum reception or on 023 9283 4779 or just turn up.

Wednesdays 8th & 22nd June 

Poetry workshops for adults

Join writer Denise Bennett for a two-part poetry workshop inspired by Edward King's atmospheric paintings of Portsmouth in the 1940s.  Both experienced and new writers are welcome. 
Session one (8th June): Explore different ways of stepping into a painting and use memory and imagination to write its stories to life.
Session two (22nd June): An optional follow-up workshop with advice on how to craft and develop your work offered in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Cost: £7 session one only / £3 with Leisure Card. £10 both sessions / £5 with Leisure Card. Both sessions run 10.15am - 12.15pm. Places are limited and must be booked in advance on 023 9283 4744.

Street Scenes Collage & Mixed Media Art Workshop for Adults

Work with artist Simon Cowper to create your own street scene using paints, torn and cut papers, drawing and printmaking techniques.  Beginners welcome.

Cost: £20 / £12 with Leisure Card including materials and refreshments

Poetry workshops for adults
